OLD SUNDIAL BY LYNCH
Up until recently I was unaware that there two sundials in the Botanic Gardens, This is one of them and the other one is in the Rose Garden.
The dial in this instance was made in the mid eighteenth century by Lynch of 26 Capel Street, Dublin. I was informed that it is one of the few dials in Ireland with a time-scale graduated in single minutes. Unfortunately my photographs did not capture this detail
