I cannot claim that this is an example of illegal dumping because it is possible that the owner was waiting for a rubbish collection to be undertaken.
I had a bit of a setback as my iMac became unusable because the upgrade to Mojave failed. Apparently the issue was that I had a 3Tb fusion internal drive and it took more than 48 hours to recover. If you have an iMac with an internal fusion drive be very careful about upgrading to Mojave unless you have complete backups. In case anyone is interested I would not have recovered without using Diskwarrior 5.2 and Carbon Copy Cloner.
