DUBLIN PORT

MAYBE - [MAY 2015 VISIT TO DUBLIN DOCKLANDS]

Every year I looked forward to the Dublin Maritime Festival which took place every June Bank Holiday but more recently it was rebranded as the Dublin Port Riverfest and since then became less interesting.

These days the plan is - get a few sailing boats to visit Dublin rent out space the street traders and advertise it as follows:

“A huge array of activities are planned over the course of the weekend including the arrival of 3 tall ships and four schooners which berth at North Wall Quay for the weekend. There will be try it our kayaking sessions which will allow you see the visiting ships from a unique angle. Dublin Bay Cruises St. Bridget will offer three three trips daily out into Dublin Bay and The Jeanie Johnson will once again be offering free tours over the course of the weekend. Dublin Tug Boats Shackleton & Beaufort’s Tug Boat Dances proved so popular last year and are back by public demand”.
