Ayelet was born in west Cork in 1974. Surrounded by an artistic family and being creative since since she was a small one she I spent a year in Grennan Mills Craft School in Thomastown, before heading to NCAD in Dublin, graduating in 1996 from Ceramic Design. She set up my own ceramics practise in 1998, working as a figurative sculptor, before returning to NCAD to complete a Masters in Ceramic Sculpture in 2009. Her interest has since evolved from solely clay based to a much broader interest in experimental uses of mixed media including bronze, concrete and sometimes edible material.
