DERELICT BUILDINGS IN DUBLIN

THE LAST TIME I WAS IN THE AREA THIS HOUSE WAS NEGLECTED AND DERELICT

The last time I visited the area I photographed this house at 194-196 Clonliffe road and at the time it was abandoned and derelict. While photographing the site a woman who was passing by got annoyed with me and suggested that I should go away and get a real job, I have no idea as to what I had done to upset her.

Today I used an unusual lens. The Sony FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS Lens is designed for video rather than stills photography but it has many desirable features and compared to similar quality video lens the price is very low. The lens features a powered zoom control with a variable speed and zoom rotation direction reversal capability. Powering the zoom function is an SSM (Super Sonic wave Motor) drive that allows precision and quiet operation. Focus noise is also minimized through weight reduction of the focus element group and use of a linear motor. Iris function is also designed to be smooth and silent for cinematography demands.
