The shopping centre dates from the 1960s and as it is very unattractive I was delighted when I heard that it was to be demolished and redeveloped as a new complex which will include part of the grounds of Dalymount Park. However, my delight soon turned to dismay when I discovered the redevelopment will not result in the demolition of the eight-storey office tower, often mentioned as the ugliest building in Dublin.
