STEVE DOODY - HEXAGON - COULD BE IT STEEL
On the North strand there is a little park that is never open and it is next to the Marino College Of Further Education but I am not sure if has any connection with the college.
What is interesting about the park is that it features the North Strand Air Raid Memorial.
A few days ago I was passing buy and I noticed something that was new to the park and what was really interesting was that I had seen it somewhere before. After a day or two I realised that I had first seen it in the Botanic Gardens a few years ago.
It did not take me long to discovered that I photographed this metal piece of art in 2014 when it featured in the Sculpture In Context exhibition in the Botanic Gardens. It won an award back then:

4 Sculpture in Context Awards for large outdoor works of distinction in any medium were awarded this year, recipients were:
Steve Doody for Hexagon, Could be it Steel
Clare Greene for Bottle Brush
Merce Canadell for Embracing Water
David Lunney for Colour Coded (Pi)
In April 2017 it was also included in an exhibition at Oldbridge Estate - 'Sculpture in Context’ at The Battle of the Boyne.
